DVRaptor v2.12a Driver Package
Note: This driver features software overlay capabilities and has the following minimum system requirements:

• Intel Pentium III 700MHz CPU or faster
• 256MB of RAM
• Graphics card with hardware-based DirectDraw overlay and 24-bit color display at 1024x768 resolutio

This is the final release of the DVRaptor Drivers and Applications and also includes the Adobe Premiere 6.0/6.5 plug-in.



Changes in v2.12a:
• Fixed an encoding error with DV on some systems

Additional Notes:
The new software overlay capabilities disable hardware overlay, one of DVRaptor's original features. By using software overlay, you no longer need to use the analog connectors and your camcorder to be present when using Raptor Edit and Raptor Video. As a result, you may need to upgrade your system in order to take full advantage of the new plug-in's performance enhancements. If you do not need the new plug-in's new features or are happy with your current system configuration, then we recommend that you do NOT install this upgrade, and use the v2.11 drivers instead. Your DVRaptor will continue to work as always, but you always have the option of upgrading the driver later on.

This new driver now outputs digital audio data from the PCI bus to the sound card. The previous driver sent analog audio to the sound card's analog in. If your system had an unstable audio driver or hardware, you should upgrade to the latest version of the Premiere plug-in. If the instability remains after installing the version 2.12 of the plug-in, please check the installation of your sound card and make sure you have the latest version of your sound card drivers installed.

Please disconnect the analog audio in to the sound card or disable it. If your DV deck's analog in is connected to the sound card input, you will hear an echo in your PC's speakers.

The new driver no longer allows you to adjust the settings of your Raptor Bay from Premiere. Please use the Raptor Video capture application if you need to change the settings.
